FREEDOM

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

Can be defined as the quality of ‘being independent of fate or necessity’. I am giving myself liberty to experience this. My current format is no longer working. It is time to ‘go with the flow’ and let Spirit guide me (instead of doing what I think I am supposed to). By creating the space for new experiences, new opportunities will have room to emerge. I welcome this change.

Manifestation

Saturday, April 21st, 2007

I am learning a lot about conscious creation these days. I have found that when I think about something I want to manifest, combined with intent, there’s a good chance it will occur. The secret is to be focused but detached. In other words, think about what the goal is. Combine this with feeling (FEEL it happening). Then let it go. Sometimes it helps to write down the objective, taking it out to read several times a day. It is, however, also important to remain detached while participating in this process. In other words, see it occurring, feel it occurring, and then release it so it can manifest. Incidentally, it is important to know what you want will manifest, however, it is just as important to avoid feeling or thinking that this is something you can’t live without.

Being Grateful

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

Any habit which is continued for three weeks consistently has the potential to become a regular practice. The routine needn’t be huge, just ongoing. One positive practice might be to cultivate gratitude. ‘Gratitude’ can be defined as ‘thankfulness’. The object of this appreciation can be minimal. It is just a matter of focusing on something uplifting. Doing this creates a mindset and energy pattern which allows one’s attention to be focused and directed on positive things. Oprah says that listing three things daily that one is grateful for, encourages the individual to see things in a brighter light. It is a way of thanking Spirit for what one has, and saying ‘more of this please’.

Creating Chaos

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

I think I may have acted prematurely. I had a great opportunity and let it go. The subject is unimportant; the impatience and thoughtlessness I exhibited re this is important. I am learning to let go and trust. It takes time, however. I don’t know whether I have the patience to take it one step at a time, but I have no other choice. A tape I listened to earlier said to find the good in every experience, regardless of how small it might be. The lesson here is to take things slowly. You can always slow down; you cannot always undo or take things back. The only thing I can do now is go on and cherish the lesson I was given.

Happy Easter

Sunday, April 8th, 2007

I don’t really celebrate Easter, (or many holidays at all). I think every day can be a cause for celebration. I do respect others beliefs, however. I also admire the idea of resurrection (bringing oneself out of a situation or condition which is pervasive). Doing this can really strengthen me. The I Ching says that an obstruction lasts only as long as necessary. Some of my greatest teachers have been people or situations which tended to challenge me. If I allow myself to accept what is happening, dealing with it as best I can without getting overwhelmed, I frequently emerge stronger, and more capable.

It all works out

Thursday, April 5th, 2007

I have learned not to push everything. In the I Ching, or book of changes, the attitude of waiting is emphasized. This means that in times of indecision do nothing until the proper action reveals itself. And reveal itself, it will. Unstructured, going with the flow, and moving, when an opportunity to do so occurs, allows one to ‘live in the moment’ more.

Waiting

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

In this world of ‘instant gratification’, there seems to be such a rush to ‘get it now’. I am learning, from personal experience, that fastest isn’t always best. Sometimes the solution or answer to a situation can appear in the most unlikely way. By waiting to receive the guidance I need, I am able to  receive the answer. According to The I Ching, (Hexagram #52, ‘keeping still, or waiting’), everyone has, within them, a deep intuitive knowing. Keeping still allows the action I need to manifest.

Change

Monday, April 2nd, 2007

The tarot is an age old method of doing readings. One is able to use cards to get guidance. One of the most misunderstood cards is Death (#13). This is the card which, when drawn, often freaks people out. ‘Who is dying?’, they wonder. Actually, this card means change, (or death of a situation). By releasing old patterns and thought processes, new ones are allowed to occur. Out with the old…in with the new.
