‘Trust’ is letting go and trusting the process. It is the expectation of good, without evidence anything has occurred. Sometimes an obstacle indicates a blockof some kind (physical, Spiritual, emotional, mental) in one’s energy. It can be an indication that something needs to be released; perhaps a negative attitude. The book ‘Ask and It Is Given’, by Esther and Jerry Hicks, discusses how we can create any condition, whether positive or negative, by our thought processes. While this idea may seem somewhat overwhelming at first, it also promises that if we can create an unfavorable situation, we also have the ability to manifest the conditions necessary to change it.

- Sometimes it’s difficult to know what steps to take. We get impatient and try to force things; or we get scared and do nothing. Oprah says uncertainty is Spirit’s way of telling us to wait until we know what steps to take. The answer will come if we are patient. Of course, that’s sometimes easier said than done. Every time I let go and trust Spirit, things work out. My mother used to say ‘This too shall pass’. It does; we just need to trust the process, and let it.

Having been ‘jobless’ since Friday, I am beginning to realize how things work out for the best. So many friends, so many signs of hope and inspiration have come from this. I feel truly blessed. Everything happens for a reason, and ‘faith in action’ is alive and well here.

I recently lost my job. Perhaps there is a more positive way to word it, however the fact remains that Friday was my last day work. Call it downsizing, call it circumstances, call it anything you want. The fact remains that I woke up this morning trying to decide what the next step is going to be. This situation really illustrates the need for having faith and trusting the process. Here is the ideal opportunity to learn whether I actually do practice what I preach. This is what my friend, Stephanie, likes to call ‘Another f***ing growth experience’. I don’t know what the final outcome will be, but it promises to be interesting. I will keep you posted.

If people learned to trust their inner voice (or intuition), they would find themselves learning to ‘trust the ‘process. Meditation is the easiest way to do this.

Sometimes the best action, is no action at all, when uncertain about which steps to take. This is Spirit’s way of saying ‘Wait..do nothing’. The answer will come.

Sometimes I’ll make a list of three things, which occurred during the day, that I’m grateful for. This idea, which comes from Oprah Winfrey’s gratitude list, has helped me to be more appreciative and optimistic.

I recently found an amazing book; ‘One Small Step’ (The Kaizen Way), by Robert Maurere, Ph.D). The idea behind this book is that smaller more steady changes manageable changes can last longer and are less intimidating than larger, more drastic ones. An example the author uses deals with one of his patients, a woman who needed to lose weight. She’d been under alot of stress recently, so he suggested that she begin her weight loss program by simply marching in front of the television daily for a minute. The result is that she stuck with the program and continued to supplement it and lost weight.
The Buddhists have a saying ‘Faith by Fire vs Faith By Water’. Faith like fire is fast and furious. It blows up quickly and burns out just as quickly,. Faith like water, on the other hand water is a consistent steady process. The idea behind this book is similar. Slow steady change is more likely to last than larger more difficult ones.

Some people believe that Meditation takes too much time. Others think they don’t have the discipline to focus or concentrate. They are wrong on both counts. Meditation is really a good way to connect with the Higher Self easily and quickly. When we Pray, we ask; when we meditate we listen. Both are equally valid and important
